Call for applications for Social Science Day 2022: Remote work

This call for applications is intended for teacher-researchers and researchers from all social science disciplines who have defended their doctoral thesis for a maximum of 10 years. The subject ( see the scientific project  by clicking here) presents several facets, including in particular the question of the end of wage employment, productivity, well-being, macroeconomic effects, specific cases of remote work in the education and health sectors which deserve special attention , law and new regulations…. It lends itself to various approaches and presents issues for sociology, history, geography, anthropology, economics, cognitive sciences and psychology, law … All social science disciplines are invited to attend shed light on this theme according to their own methods and specific issues.

The aim is to mobilize researchers – post-docs, researchers and teacher-researchers… – who work on this theme and on others that are related to it. The projects likely to be selected will combine quality empirical research with relatively open and general issues. These projects are not reserved for the case of France, they can embrace different cultural areas and societies.

It is possible to evoke some themes without limiting the imagination of researchers interested in the subject ( consult the scientific project  by clicking here ).

The Foundation intends to support researchers (researchers, teacher-researchers, post-docs) wishing to create original work and disseminate their work to a large audience. It thus offers 12 prizes of 2,500 euros ( paid at the end of the program in the form of copyright ) each for the writing of an unpublished article that can be published in a scientific journal and a chapter in a collective work of the Foundation. . Persons of any nationality and status, attached to French (even if they work abroad) or European research institutions and holders of a doctoral thesis are eligible.

After the selection of applications (September 2021) by the jury (see the members of the FSS Scientific Committee  by clicking here ), three working meetings will be organized during the year 2021/2022 with the selected researchers. At the end of 2022, the Foundation will organize a “Social Sciences Day” where the twelve authors will be invited to present their work in a French version accessible to a large audience and which will be published in a collective work. All expenses (travel, hotel, meals, etc.) associated with these meetings and colloquium are fully covered by the Foundation.

All the social sciences are concerned by this call for applications / contributions: anthropology, law, economics, geography, history, political philosophy, political science, sociology …
