- £30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
The School of Biosciences delivers undergraduate and MSci programmes in Animal Science and Agricultural Science at the Sutton Bonington Campus. The purpose of the new role is to contribute to the delivery of this portfolio of taught programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery, administration and development of the School’s undergraduate courses in Animal Science and the MSc in Animal Nutrition.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in Animal Science in the area of livestock production and nutrition, covering all species but with emphasis on pig and poultry production.
This post will involve lecturing, running seminars and practical classes, leading field work and farm visits, conducting assessments, devising and overseeing research projects and giving pastoral care to our students. The ability to design, plan and deliver high quality teaching is essential. The person appointed will also make an appropriate contribution to teaching administration.
The role is based at the Sutton Bonington Campus in the School of Biosciences working within the Division of Animal Science. Further information about the School is available at: www.nottingham.ac.uk/biosciences
A minimum of a degree in Agriculture or Animal Science (Livestock Production Science/Nutrition) or similar discipline is essential for this role. A higher degree (Masters or PhD) in the above subject areas and previous experience of teaching in the Higher Education sector would be an advantage.
This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
