Undergraduate Scholarships:

• Covers full tuition fee for up to four years.
• £2,000 per year of study are open to you as an international undergraduate student.
• £1,000 per year of study are open to you as an EU undergraduate student.

Postgraduate Scholarships:

•  50% of tuition fee.

First Step: Applying to the university

• Head to their Applicant Portal. Register yourself as a new applicant and create your user name and password . You don’t have to complete your application all at once – so keep your login details safe and log back in whenever you want.

• Work your way through the application making sure you:
  • include as much relevant information as possible.
  • upload evidence of the results you have achieved.
  • write a comprehensive personal statement that highlights your skills and explains your motivation for applying for the course in question.
  • stick to the 4,000 word character limit  – you can upload additional documents if you have more you need to say.
  • provide the required reference(s) with your application.

  When you submit your application, you’ll receive an acknowledgement of receipt.

• You can submit your reference through the Applicant Portal, but make sure your referee:
  • types your reference on letter-headed paper
  • dates and signs the reference
  • clearly states their position and relationship to you.

  Alternatively, your referee can email your reference straight to the university – but it must come from their official email address. This means that it must be sent from a school, college, university or work email address.

  It’s your responsibility to request a reference from your referee and ensure that they, or you, submit it to us.

• A decision will be made within five to ten working days. However, this can take longer and you should allow at least three weeks  for a decision. Some courses will require that you attend an interview, or you may have to submit a portfolio of work. They’ll contact you and give you plenty of warning if you need to do either of these things.
• If your offer is accepted, congratulations! You’ll have received either a conditional offer or an unconditional offer:
  • Conditional offer: This means you must fulfill certain criteria – such as achieving the required grades – before you can be accepted on to the course.
  • Unconditional offer: You have met all the entry criteria and can take your place on the course as long as you accept your offer within four weeks .

  If you’ve applied for more than one course you’ll receive a separate decision for each course.

• If you don’t accept your offer within four weeks it may lapse. After eight weeks it will be automatically withdrawn.
• Upload all the documents required to meet the conditions of your offer using the My Documents section of the Applicant Portal. Make sure you keep your original copies too as they may need to see these to fully complete your enrollment.
• For Undergraduate courses: You can alternatively apply through UCAS, by creating an account on UCAS and filling the required personal information through here, you will also need a personal statement and a recommendation letter. (application deadline is 30 June for non-EU students, institution code name is NOTRE, institution code is N91).

Second Step: Applying to the scholarship

To apply for a scholarship you need to:

• complete the application form, you will be asked:
  • What skills and life experiences make you a good candidate for a scholarship?
  • The benefits of studying at NTU?
• email it to international@ntu.ac.uk

If you’re not successful for your chosen scholarship, you will be considered for any other scholarship you’re eligible for.

Third Step: Results

The university will contact you with their decision within four weeks of the deadline.
