Berea College provides 100% funding for international students enrolled for the first year of enrollment. Over the next few years, international students are expected to save US $ 1,000 a year to help cover their expenses. The College offers summer jobs to international students so that they can fulfill this obligation.

Accepted international students pay an entrance fee of US $ 50 and a deposit of US $ 2,200 to confirm their registration. This deposit can be used by international students for certain expenses during their 4 years of registration. For students who are unable to pay all or part of the deposit, additional financial assistance is available.

The team informs you that all international students benefit from paid employment on campus thanks to the College’s work program throughout the academic year. Students can use their salary (around $ 2,000 the first year) to cover their personal expenses.

Applicants to Berea College must be students who have strong academic potential and financial needs. Most Berea College students score between 20 and 30 on the ACT (or SAT equivalent) and have a cumulative high school average of at least 3.0 in a strong college preparation program. Students can take the ACT or SAT.

Other factors such as community service, leadership qualities and motivation levels will also be taken into consideration. The College strongly recommends the following high school program:

• 4 units of English (including composition, rhetoric and literature)
• 3 units of mathematics (at least algebra I, algebra II and geometry)
• 2 units of laboratory science
• 2 units of social sciences / history (including world history)
• 2 units of a foreign language.
