1. Program Overview
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2026 is a fully funded scholarship awarded to outstanding international graduates who demonstrate excellent academic results and a strong passion for research, enabling them to pursue a PhD or Doctor of Engineering degree in one of Singapore’s leading institutions. This collaborative award is offered by A*STAR, NTU, NUS, SUTD, SMU, and SIT.
2. Degree Programs and Options
Applicants can choose to pursue a PhD or Doctor of Engineering in research areas of science or engineering at one of the participating institutions (A*STAR, NTU, NUS, SUTD, SMU, or SIT). Upon successful completion, graduates receive their respective doctoral degree from the awarding institution.
3. Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply:
Open to international graduates with a strong academic record and a passion for research.
Note: SINGA is primarily intended for international students studying in Singapore for the first time. Singapore citizens, permanent residents, or those who have studied at a Singaporean institution are not eligible. -
Language Proficiency:
Good command of English, both written and spoken. -
Academic References:
Strong endorsements from academic referees.
4. Scholarship Benefits
The SINGA Scholarship provides support for up to 4 years of doctoral study, including:

Tuition Fees

Monthly Stipend: S$2,700 per month, increased to S$3,200 per month after passing the qualification exam*

One-Time Travel Grant: Up to S$1,500 for an airfare ticket

One-Time Settling Allowance: S$1,000

Estimated Living Expenses in Singapore (per student, per month):

Food (University cafeterias): S$250–350

Off-campus meals: S$450–600

Accommodation (on-campus, single room): S$400–700

Local transportation: S$100–150

Other expenses (stationery, laundry, toiletries, leisure, etc.): S$400–500

5. Application Process
Applicants should first review the available doctoral research projects in their fields of interest.
All required documents must be submitted online; no paper documents are to be sent. The required documents include:
