The Food Consortium CTP is an industry-led collaborative programme that aims at developing highly skilled PhD researchers. You will have the opportunity to form strong links to industry and be part of a supportive network of peers, academic supervisors, industrial supervisors, and training partners.
Eligibility:
- Applicants should hold or expect to gain a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) or a Master in a relevant subject such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food science.
- This project is also open for part-time student applications.
Funding Details:
- Starts: October 2023
- It is a 4 year award
- The Food Consortium CTP studentships are predominantly open to students with established UK residency. Although international students (including EU countries) can apply, due to funding rules no more than 30% of the projects can be allocated to international students. The funding will include a tax free stipend (currently minimum £17,668 per year plus a £1400 enhancement from the industrial sponsor), cover for tuition fees at the standard UK rate (currently £4,596 per year). In the event an international student is appointed, then the University of Reading will cover the difference between the UK and international fees.
