The Post-doctoral researcher will be working in an Academy of Finland funded project “Macrocyclic receptors for selective anion extraction”. The project aims to offer pioneering solutions for the selective binding of biologically and technologically important anions from water. The target anions include anti-inflammatory drugs with carboxylate groups, and valuable resources, such as phosphate and precious metals (Au, Pt, Co). The post-doctoral researcher will focus on the synthesis of macrocyclic receptor molecules based on calixpyrrole framework and binding studies with the target anions.
