Multiple positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen’s University

We are looking for a motivated PhD student and postdoctoral researchers to fill multiple positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen’s University. The positions are available as early as July 2022.

    1. One talented and motivated PhD student with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Nanotechnology with research background in the field Plasmonic sensors and extensive experience in micro and nano fabrication and clean room processing. This position will be available in September 2022 with flexibility of starting in January 2023.
    2. One highly motivated, talented postdoctoral researcher in the field of two dimensional and nano materials based electronics, bioelectronics and biosensors with the following requirements:
    3. PhD in electrical Engineering or related fields
    4. Highly trained and expert in micro and nano fabrication and clean room processing
    5. Electrical and material characterization of 2D and nano materials
    6. Modeling and simulation of 2D material based flexible nano devices and materials
    7. Electrical and mechanical characterization of flexible electronics and sensors
    8. Excellent writing and presentation skills in English
    9. Preferred expertise: Knowledge and experiences in the field of physiological sensors
    10. One highly motivated, talented postdoctoral researcher in the field of nanocomposites based sensors with the following requirements:
    11. PhD in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields
    12. Nanocomposites synthesis
    13. Nanocomposites electrical and mechanical characterization
    14. Highly trained and expert in soft lithography and microfabrication
    15. Fabrication and testing of nanocomposite based electrophysiological sensors
    16. Excellent writing and presentation skills in English
    17.  One highly motivated, talented postdoctoral researcher in the field of bioelectronics circuit and system design, testing and assembly with the following requirements:
    18. PhD in electrical Engineering or related fields
    19. Expertise in the design and simulation of CMOS integrated circuits and unconventional electronic circuits for bioelectronics applications
    20. Knowledge of solid-state devices
    21. Excellent writing and presentation skills in English

The postdoctoral researcher positions are related to a project in collaboration between an industry partner in Montreal, Canada and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada with the possibility for traveling between the two locations. The positions are opportunities to work in a multidisciplinary team and gain valuable experience in collaboration with industry while performing high impact novel research.
