Recruitment of an Early-Career Group Leader – Paris-Cardiovascular Research Center (PARCC)

Through its YoungTalent program, the Paris Cardiovascular Research Center (PARCC) is opening a position for an outstanding early-career scientist wishing to establish his/her independent research group in the field of Cardiovascular Sciences.

PARCC is a leading French biomedical research Center affiliated with INSERM and Université Paris Cité, with 13 independent research teams (more than 300 members) focusing on either peripheral or rare vascular diseases, heart failure, cardiac sudden death, kidney diseases, transplantation, endocrine or resistant hypertension.

The newly recruited group leader will join one of the teams. Her/his research project should focus on one of the following areas in the field of cardiovascular physiology and/or pathology:

– Gene and molecular signaling

– Immuno-inflammation and/or metabolism

– Predictive models and multidimensional approaches

Appropriate laboratory space will be available to the selected group leader and an initial support package will be provided. The group will also benefit from extensive support by PARCC core facilities, which will provide necessary skills and highly specialized equipment for cutting-edge research including multiphoton microscopy, flow cytometry, histology, in situ exploration and molecular microscopy.

Researchers of any nationality with no more than 10 years of experience since completion of their PhD can apply. Candidates should have an excellent scientific track record to compete for national and international funding. Those applicants who do not have a tenured position in France will have to apply as well to the European Research Council and/or to Atip/Avenir programs and/or to French institutional research/teaching positions (INSERM, Université Paris Cité).
