The ITI QMat offers scholarships for master 1 and master 2 students in the field of Physics and Materials Science.

Each year the ITI QMat offers 20 scholarships for M1 / ​​2 students. The selection of students is based on the transcript and motivation. The scholarship covers a period of 10 months for master 1 students and 6 months for master 2 students with a 4 to 6 month internship paid by the host laboratory.

The associated masters are the M1 Physics and the M2 Astrophysics, Subatomic and Astroparticle Physics, PRIDI (Radiation Physics, Detectors, Instrumentation and Imaging), MCN (Condensed Matter and Nanophysics), Materials and Nanosciences, IRIV (Imaging, Robotics, Engineering for the Living) and Cellular Physics.

 AMOUNT / SERVICES

The Q-Master scholarship is around € 500 per month. It covers current monthly expenses. Additional help is available for foreign students (accommodation, visa, French lessons). Participation in the various conferences is encouraged and may be financed.

The scholarship is paid for 100% upon signing the certificate of arrival. In addition, the ITI QMat reserves the right to request full reimbursement of support if the training is not completed by the student.

The ITI scholarship is cumulative with scholarships based on social criteria, but it cannot be combined with the following support mechanisms:

Your file must contain the CV, the transcript, a letter of recommendation and a cover letter (1 page) in pdf format. The cover letter should describe:

– Your scientific interests

– Why you are an excellent candidate for QMat

– A clear vision of your career (specialization, mentors, internships)

 SELECTION PROCESS

Applications are examined by a selection committee. An interview is then scheduled for eligible candidates with two members of the selection committee.

Final answers will be given in April 2022 at the latest.
