The 2020 African Food Prize will be awarded during the African Green Revolution Forum, scheduled for  September 2020.

• The African Food Prize can be awarded to any identifiable individual or group of individuals, as well as to institutions, associations, organizations or government bodies established with a formal and recognized legal and organizational structure contributing to the general objectives of the Prize.
• The Prize can be awarded to any qualified candidate, whatever their nationality, profession or location, whose work and the contributions which have resulted from it have had a clear impact on the situation in Africa, at national, regional or regional level. continent.
• The prize can be awarded with reference to a specific contribution or achievement, or to a series of efforts and results in the recent past, preferably in recent years.
