Duke University School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology. Candidates should have a record of outstanding scholarship and administrative leadership, along with a commitment to excellence in research, education, mentoring, and faculty development.

The Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology (PCB) includes 24 primary faculty, 75 graduate students, and 26 postdoctoral fellows with complementary research interests and expertise.  Duke University School of Medicine is among the top medical schools in the country, perennially ranked among the top 10 schools in funding from the National Institutes of Health and in the top 10 schools by U.S. News and World Report.  It is one of the largest biomedical research enterprises in the country, with approximately $800 million annually in sponsored research, and is located on the Duke University campus, which affords the opportunity for collaboration and innovation across the entire university.

Candidates should have a PhD degree or MD/PhD and academic credentials that qualify for appointment at the level of associate or full Professor.
