Merit Scholarship

Awarded to the best all-round applicant from the deadline

Diversity Scholarships

CHF 30K

Criteria: be a national of one of the following five regions: Africa/Middle East, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, North America/Western Europe/Oceania.
Submit a 500 word essay on: “The role diversity and globalisation will play in my future career”. Apply by 30 May.

Scholarships for applicants from all deadlines:

Merit Scholarships

Criteria: demonstrate exceptional qualities throughout the admissions process. No application needed

Financial Need Scholarships

Criteria: proven financial need, good academic results and GMAT score, strong reference letters, and steady career progression. Apply once interview decision is known.

Recipients of all the above scholarships are confirmed at the time of the admissions offer.

The CO-RO Foundation Scholarship

Full scholarship – tuition & fees
Criteria: be a national of Denmark.
Submit a 500-word motivation essay on: “Why should I be considered for this scholarship and how can I contribute to IMD’s MBA Program?” 
Stewart Hamilton Scholarship for women
CHF 50K
Criteria: be a female citizen of a developing country with a strong overall application. Reflect upon the case study ‘Hollinger and the Downfall of Conrad Black’ .
Submit a 750-word essay on: What, in your view, were the failings in the Hollinger corporate governance system? What personal learnings have you drawn from your analysis of the case study?
Staton Scholarship
CHF 50K
Criteria: be a citizen from South America with the exception of Brazil and return for at least three years after graduation to South America.
Submit a 750-word essay on: “The role of entrepreneurs in moving my country forward and my contribution to that goal”
Nestlé Scholarship for Women
CHF 25K
Preference is given to women from developing countries.
Submit a 750-word essay on: “Many have argued that greater diversity in the top management team of an organization is good for profits and customers. What would you recommend as ways to achieve greater diversity?”
Employees of Nestlé or its subsidiaries are not eligible.

Recipients of scholarships awarded by external donors are announced mid-November.

When writing your scholarship essay, be sure to use the IMD MBA Scholarship Template, to respect the word limit and to express your personal point of view in your own words, supported by proper citation if necessary.

Scholarships are granted subject to nomination by the scholarship selection committee, acceptance into the program and confirmation of your intention to participate in the program by paying the advance deposit.

IMD reserves the right not to award a scholarship if the criteria are not met to the satisfaction of the jury/sponsors.
