Eligibility
  • Undertake master’s-level studies in a field related to sustainable energy development.
      • Examples: zero-carbon energy, smart grids, electric transportation, energy storage, advanced electricity technologies, public policy, economics, law, political science, etc.
  • Pursue full-time studies for at least one full school year (two or three semesters) as of mid to late 2023.
  • Be a citizen of a developing country on the list of official development aid recipients identified by the Development Co-operation Directorate of the OECD.
  • Be committed to contributing to their home country’s development after their studies.
  • Be an outstanding student:
      • Excellent grades in the top 20% of their class.
      • Committed to zero-carbon energy development.
      • History of community involvement.
      • Determined to advance their knowledge and understanding.
  • With the aim of supporting developing countries in building local expertise, GSEP will specifically dedicate a share of its scholarships to students pursuing master’s studies in universities based in developing countries.
Requirements
Prior to beginning your application, ensure you have all of the required documents:
  1. CV/résumé.
  2. Scan of your passport or birth certificate.
  3. Letter of admission to the master’s program of your choice.
  4. Course outline of the master’s program (PDF or link).
  5. Most recent university transcript.
  6. Two references.

  • All documents must be in English. If the original language of the document is not English, you must provide both the original document and a certified translation.
