SUSI for secondary school teachers and administrators invites participants to spend a month at a host university in the United States. Participants will take part in a series of conferences, seminar discussions and site visits related to the theme of each institute. Participants discover American educational philosophies, explore new teaching methods and pursue their research interests. Participants then go on a two-week study trip to another geographic region and conclude their visit to Washington, DC
The requirements to apply include:
- Mid-career professional.
- Highly motivated and experienced high school teacher.
- Committed to improving or developing courses with a component of American studies.
- Proficiency in the English language.
