English Teacher Assistant

Offer proposition 

The assistant will work with the language teachers (English) or other staff according to the candidate’s profile (ITC, Environmental Studies, Science, Humanities, Arts…. Etc)

Description of activities 

-Assist teachers in a class to teach English foreign language (listening activities, board games …) or any other topic according to the candidate’s Major subjects.

-Create teaching documents and extra-curricular activities.

– lead a linguistic club in concert with the school life assistants.

-Use the candidate’s skills & experience in languages to develop communication (participate in role plays…)

-Lead discussion or debate groups on culture or current subjects.

-Encourage and help students to prepare them for work placements abroad they will do during the school year and advise them for CVs & cover letters.

-Help to arrange study school trips; set up exchanges with European schools.

-Develop international relationships by using Etwining in two project which are ever in process

Duration and period September 20th 2021– December 20th 2021 (maximum 3 months)

Working hours / Weekly

– 17 hours per week, 4days /week ; 44 days ; 187h max

City 25 minutes from Nantes, by car.

-Accommodation is provided at school

-Meals are provide from Monday noon to Friday noon (breakfast, lunch and dinner) (Excluding weekends and school holidays).

– An IPad will with a wifi connection will be lend during the internship.

– possibility to arrange some weekends in french family

Ideally suited for a student (between 20 and 25 years old) who would like to become a teacher.

For a better integration in the school life it is required to have at least B2 English level, A2 french level.

Have the driver’s licence is also strongly recommended , a car of the school can be lend during the school time.
