Biological laboratory technician

Context :

The group focuses on understanding how the notorious oncogene RAS drives cancer cell stemness and how to drug target it (eRASeCancer.wordpress.com).

In the framework of a maternity- and parental-leave replacement, we are looking for a highly motivated:

Biological laboratory technician

Your Role…

Under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Abankwa, the biological laboratory technician will work in the Cancer Cell Biology and Drug Discovery group. He/she will basically be in charge of:

    • Contributing to cell/ biochemical experiments in research projects
    • Assisting in managing the research lab (ordering, archiving, maintenance)

Your Profile…

    •  Minimal degree: Bachelor’s in biology/ biochemistry or related field
    • Ideally, previous professional experience at least as biological laboratory technician
    • Strong expertise in confocal microscopy, cell proliferation assays, molecular cloning and protein purification
    • Autonomous experiment planning, execution and analysis
    • Full command of MS Office software, GraphPad Prism, SnapGene and quick IT learner
    • Excellent command of English (French and/ or German are an asset)
