The English Department at Capilano University seeks to fill multiple non-regular positions with January 2024 and May 2024 start dates. We seek innovative teacher-scholars to design and teach writing and literature courses at the undergraduate level. The successful candidates will show a strong commitment to mentoring students from a wide range of backgrounds. As a member of our English Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of our diverse student body. We are actively seeking candidates with a demonstrated commitment to our values, including a dedication to mentor and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, making a profound and lasting impact on their educational journey.

What you’ll bring
Candidates must have experience teaching writing and literature at the undergraduate level. A specialization in Indigenous, diasporic, and/or decolonial literatures is preferred, but scholars in all fields of Anglophone literature and creative writing will be considered. Ability to teach literature from 10th to 17th and 17th to early 20th centuries is also an asset. Minimum requirement is a Master’s degree and a PhD in English (or closely related field) in-hand, or near-completion at the time of application, is preferred.
