Salary: £70,922 to £82,219 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is an innovative and forward thinking school at University of Nottingham. This is demonstrated by the dramatic increase of our student numbers by moving to a dual intake system. In September 2019 150 undergraduate students started with us, with a further 150 starting in April 2020. We have been consistently ranked #1 in NSS survey since our first graduating cohort in 2011. The school has 4 strategic research areas: “Diagnostics and Therapeutics” , “One Virology” , “Ruminant Population Health” and “Global Health: Antimicrobial Resistance”.
We are seeking to appoint a Professor of Pharmacometrics to develop a programme of research in the broad area of veterinary pharmacometrics and to support the school in maintaining research links with the British Horse Authority and with industry.
The track record of the successful candidate will be judged on a range of research outcomes including publications and obtaining competitive funding, The successful candidate will also have an understanding of the clinical research landscape, especially as it pertains to veterinary pharmacometrics.
In addition to their research role, the successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate teaching within the School, supervise postgraduate research students and undertake administrative duties appropriate to the grade to which they are appointed.

This role is available on a fixed term contract until 30/06/2026. Hours of work are part time (7.25 hours).
