Professeur-e ordinaire ou associé-e ou assistant-e en “Marketing Analytics”

Il s’agit d’un poste à charge complète comprenant des enseignements aux niveaux bachelor, master et post-grade incluant la supervision des mémoires de master et des thèses de doctorat.
Le-la candidat-e sera appelé-e à développer des recherches au niveau international dans son domaine de spécialisation et à obtenir des financements extérieurs. Il-elle devra également assumer des tâches de gestion et d’organisation liées à sa fonction au niveau de l’Institut de Management ou de la Faculté.
Nous sommes particulièrement intéressés par le-la candidat-e pouvant renforcer les domaines de recherche et d’enseignement existants de la Faculté, notamment le « Marketing Analytics ».
Titre et compétences exigés
- Doctorat en marketing ou titre jugé équivalent ;
- Publications dans des revues de renommée internationale ;
- Expérience de l’enseignement à divers niveaux et dans le domaine du « Marketing Analytics » ;
- Très bonne maîtrise de l’anglais.

Job description
The Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) is the business school of the University of Geneva, one of the leading higher education institutions in Switzerland, renowned for the excellence of its faculty and students. Geneva is one of the most culturally stimulating cities in the world, located in uniquely beautiful surroundings on the shore of Lake Geneva. The major emphasis of this new position in marketing analytics will be on data analytics related issues in marketing to complement the current research profiles within the Institute of Management (IoM). Additionally the new position would also provide a strong link to the Research Center for Statistics. The successful candidate will actively contribute to research and teaching activities of GSEM in the area of marketing analytics. Teaching obligations include courses at the Bachelor and Graduate level and most importantly will include classes in GSEM’s new Master in Business Analytics.
The candidate is also expected to engage in the GSEM’s community, to actively collaborate with its different stakeholders, and to contribute to the various initiatives of the Institute of Management. Depending on the qualifications of the candidates the position is opened ranging from the level of an assistant professor to the level of a full professor. Candidates in the early stages of their career with demonstrated potential for high quality research are therefore also encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a PhD in marketing (or equivalent) and should have a demonstrated track-record of outstanding potential for conducting world-class research pertaining to both methodological as well as applied research. Areas of interest include but are not limited to data analytics, quantitative modeling in business and marketing, developing data products, and methods for capturing, cleaning, cross-referencing, searching, analyzing or visualizing complex data streams. The candidate should be capable to publish in top-tier journals and to acquire advanced research grants (e.g. from the Swiss National Science Foundation and the European Union). Candidates should have experience in teaching foundational and advanced courses at all levels in areas such as data science, data processing, data science strategy, quantitative modeling, development of data products, data-driven management decision making, visual analytics, applied machine learning, or natural language processing. Experience in teaching in executive education programs will be plus.
