Operations Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Operations team is the heart of our program directly serving clients. As Operations Director, you will directly manage the Operations team currently located in 5 different countries and lead the implementation and optimization of our sales and after-sales activities. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Implementation and optimization
• Improve daily execution, promote customer-centricity across core operations to increase social impact
• Ensure our sales and after-sales services remain focused on quality and timeliness
• Set and gather operations metrics across the country programs
• Drive the use of technology in our field operations
Team Management
• Hire and mentor future leaders, to promote rapid career growth and expansion
• Have a holistic view of operational needs and challenges across countries
Strategy
• As a member of the management team, guide long-term strategy for the company
• Translate this strategy into improvement projects and execution plans for the Operations Team
• Create strategies ensuring Oolu can continue to grow sales and customers base while reducing complexity
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for professionals with 6+ years of relevant work experience, and a passion for delivering high impact programs. Candidates who fit the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
• Team management: 3+ years of managing a successful team
• Project management and execution: demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and execute complex programs
• Growth mindset: enthusiasm for learning, feedback and continuous improvement
• Affinity with data: data-driven and used to interacting with tech teams
• Cross-cultural fluency: ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
• Strong educational background: minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• Entrepreneurship: desire to join a start-up environment
• Experience in rural or last-mile distribution preferred
• Experience working in West Africa preferred
• French and English required
• Minimum commitment of 2 years
