Employment as an Scientific Assistant in the group of research staff at the Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry at the Lodz University of Technology. Research topics: reaction mechanism, isotope effects, electronic structure calculations, molecular
dynamics, reaction dynamics, salvation effects, non-covalent interactions
Requirements to be met by candidates
– M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry or related fields;
– proven experience in molecular modeling (scientific publications), especially in the electronic structure calculations and prediction of isotope effects;
– experience in using computer simulation methods and packages (such as AMBER, CHARMM, LAMMPS),
– scientific achievements documented by publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals;
– very good command of English, spoken and written;
– ability to prepare scientific reports and public presentations of the results of scientific work in English;
Desired additional skills
– ability to work in a group;
– independence and ability to make decisions;
– openness to new concepts, ease of learning;
Recruitment procedure
The recruitment procedure has a two-step formula and will consist of the following stages:
Stage 1 – evaluation of a written application
Applicant should submit:
• cover letter with current / future interests
• personal questionnaire
• list of scientific publications, patents, and presentations at scientific conferences along with the form of presentation
• confirmation of awarding M.Sc. title
• other documents confirming your qualifications
• a statement of consent to the processing of personal data for employment purposes according to the following formula: “I consent to the processing of my personal data by the Lodz University of Technology included in my job offer for the needs necessary to carry out the recruitment process in accordance with the Act of 29.08.1997 on Protection Personal Data (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 922). “
Stage 2 – interview with selected candidates
Conditions of employment: • employment contract (full-time).

The Rector’s approval is a condition for the validity of the competition’s outcome.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the contest without any reason.
The result of the competition is not tantamount to establishing an employment relationship with Lodz University of Technology.
