Postdoctoral Fellow (m/f/div) in Systems Biology – Max Planck Institute of Biophysics (MPIBP)

The Max Planck Institute of Biophysics is a leading international research institute that uses biophysical, biochemical, and computational methods to investigate the structure, dynamics, and function of cellular systems at a molecular scale. It consists of four scientific departments, multiple research groups, and scientific core facilities, with about 200 employees from more than 25 countries. It is located at the Campus Riedberg in Frankfurt am Main.

Your task

The successful applicant will pursue a collaborative project at the interface of in situ structural biology, proteomics, and nuclear envelope mechanics, including the functional and structural characterization of selected membrane and membrane-associated proteins and the discovery of novel, target membrane proteins. Training in cryo-electron tomography or quantitative mass spectrometry will be provided, if required.
