We solicit applications for a postdoctoral position in Professor Himanshu Mishra’s research Group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia (https://interfaciallab.kaust.edu.sa/Pages/Home.aspx).
Job Description: This project lies at the intersection of physics and chemistry. We are developing and using advanced surface science platforms, including surface force apparatus (SFA) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), to understand how liquids behave under nanoscale confinement. For instance, simple vdW liquids and hydrogen bonded liquids with/without salts/zwitterions in low to ultra-high concentrations and spanning a wide pH-range. Complementary expertise in the Group affords insights through molecular simulations and analytical chemistry platforms, including mass spectrometry, chromatography, NMR, and spectroscopy. Sample publications: https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jpclett.9b01835; https://doi.org/10.1039/C8SC05538F
