Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Open to all nationalities.

• Country Change Requirement:

  • You must move to a country other than your current country and one you are not a citizen of.

  • You must not have spent more than 12 months in the proposed host country in the past 3 years.

• Host Institution:

  • You must not have worked there for more than 12 months before the fellowship start date.

• Host Supervisor:

  • Cannot be a former collaborator, former supervisor, or co-author.

• PhD Requirement:

  • Must hold a PhD (or equivalent, e.g., MD) before December 31, 2026.

  • The PhD must have been awarded no more than 3 years before the full proposal deadline (September 25, 2025).

• Publication Requirement:

  • At least one original research publication in English as first, sole, or co-first author.

  • Reviews and patents are not accepted.

Letter of Intent (LOI) Requirements

LOI ID registration deadline: May 7, 2025

LOI submission deadline: May 15, 2025

Your LOI must include:

• Project title

• Personal details (ORCID, short CV, degrees)

• Proposed host institution & supervisor(s)

• Prior collaboration disclosure (if any)

• PhD thesis title and summary, plus any past postdoctoral project summaries

• Summary of proposed research (max 3000 characters, including spaces)

• List of publications

• Notes on authorship and contributions

• Confirmation that the supervisor is aware and supportive (they will receive an automatic email)
