Eligibility Criteria:

• Be a citizen of an eligible African country, residing and working in their country of citizenship or another African country.

• Be at least 25 years old by February 1, 2026.

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Not currently holding or pursuing a Master’s degree.

• Have at least 5 years of relevant post-university work experience.

• Be a mid-to-senior-level professional currently employed in a relevant field.

• Demonstrate adequate English proficiency (see language requirements).

• Meet Australian student visa requirements (Subclass 500).

• Not have previously received a long-term Australian award.

• Clearly demonstrate how acquired skills will contribute to their home country’s development.

• English language proficiency test:

  • IELTS: Overall ≥ 6.5 (no band < 6.0)

  • TOEFL iBT: ≥ 84 (minimum 21 per section)

  • PTE Academic: Overall ≥ 58 (no communicative skill < 50)

  Scores must be valid as of January 1, 2025. Exemptions possible for native English speakers or those educated in English.
