Position Overview:
The Department of Preventive Dental Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry.
We are seeking an emerging scholar committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.
Required Qualifications:
For Assistant Professor:

Experience in didactic and clinical teaching at the undergraduate level.

Strong interest in research, academic leadership, and postgraduate education.
For Associate Professor:
-
Minimum of a Master’s degree (PhD preferred).
-
Experience in graduate-level teaching and student supervision.
-
Demonstrated research achievements, peer-reviewed publications, and research funding.
Additional Requirements:
-
Formal university-level training in pediatric dentistry.
-
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a certified pediatric dentist.

Experience teaching pediatric dentistry.
-
Successful completion of the RCDC specialty exam and the NDSE in Pediatric Dentistry.

Eligibility for licensure as a pediatric dental specialist by the Manitoba Dental Association.

Extramural practice privilege (1 day/week) upon agreement.

Police and child abuse registry checks required.
Key Responsibilities:

Didactic, preclinical, and clinical teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Active research and community service involvement.

Mentoring students across various dentistry programs (including international).

Participation in emergency services and hospital care (including operating room duties).
