Eligibility Criteria

• Be a national of an eligible World Bank member country (see Annex 1)

• Must not hold dual citizenship with any developed country

• Not affiliated with the World Bank Group nor be a close relative of any staff member

• Hold a bachelor’s degree earned at least three years before the application deadline

• Be employed full-time in a paid development-related job at the time of application

• Have at least three years of paid development-related experience in the past six years

• Be unconditionally admitted (except for funding) to a participating master’s program outside the applicant’s home country and country of residence

• Must not have previously declined or received the JJ/WBGSP scholarship without graduating

• Must not be currently enrolled in a JJ/WBGSP-funded program

Required Documents

• Completed online application form

• Two professional recommendation letters

• Bachelor’s degree and highest graduate degree diploma (if applicable)

• Proof of qualifying work experience (see Annex 4)

• CV in English (or in French only for FERDI-GPE program)

• Unconditional admission letter to a participating master’s program

• Official translations if documents are not in English or program language

Scholarship Coverage

• Round-trip economy-class airfare

• US$600 travel allowance per trip

• Full tuition coverage

• Basic health insurance provided by the host university

• Monthly living stipend (housing, food, books, etc.)

• Funding duration: up to 2 years or program length, whichever is shorter
