The Iberdrola group promotes specialised training in the areas of greatest interest to the company in the territories in which it operates. This is the case at our British subsidiary, ScottishPower, where registration is currently open for its Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship
In addition, young people from around the world have the possibility of practical training in Spain, through the Iberdrola group, in New York, Connecticut, Oregon and Maine with the Avangrid Internship Program in the USA, as well as in 11 states in Brazil (mainly in Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio de Janeiro) through the NeoenergIa Programa de Estágio.
I IBERDROLA ESPAÑA HACKATHON TALENT
More than 110 students doing internships from the Educational Cooperation Program from 20 universities and nine countries have participated in the first edition of the Iberdrola España Hackathon Talent in Madrid, Valencia and Bilbao. The young people squared off against a variety of challenged and activities in teams alongside company employees, who acted as mentors, to show their strategic, learning and innovation skills.

Participating students also had the chance to approach to the Wikinger offshore wind farm using virtual reality glasses, and they tried their hand at sustainable mobility with Iberdrola’s electric skates.
With this event, which was organised by the Human Resources Selection department, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to innovation in selection processes to meet the needs arising from digital transformation. It’s about finding new forms of collaborative work to help us identify talent and select the most qualified candidate. At the same time, this initiative offers young people a unique learning experienceand a chance to explore their career options.
