The Subropical and Mediterranean Horticulture Institute (https://www.ihsm.uma-csic.es/) offers 3 positions (https://www.ihsm.uma-csic.es/formacionyempleo) for postdoctoral researchers that get a contract (4 years contract) in the EMERGIA Program from Junta de Andalucía (Spain) (https://sica2.cica.es/investigan/pages/call/34/call.jsf?cid=39) with the aim of consolitading research activities in which the institute is leading international research: i) ecofisiological approaches in subtropical and Mediterranean horticulture crops, ii) understanding genetical and functional interactions between plants, pathogens (virus, bacteria, fungi) and insect vectors, iii) use of new bioinformatic tools for data mining and genetic-functional studies, and iv) genetic variability studies and understanding of genes involved in production-quality of fruits and stress tolerance in relevant crops (strawberry, tomato, melón, avocado, mango, etc.) using genetic, genomic and other omic approaches.
