The Wistar Institute has an opening for an ambitious and productive Post-Doctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Italo Tempera. The Tempera lab investigates how viruses affect the host epigenome and explores viral contribution in cancer using cutting-edge technologies, including Hi-C, ChIA-PET, and single-cell sequencing.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic scientific environment with ample opportunities for interactions with leading investigators in virology, epigenetics, or cancer biology through programmatic funding mechanisms.
Applicants must have a strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: virology, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, genome-wide approaches to cancer, or bioinformatics. Applicants with experience in tumor viruses, epigenetics, or genome-wide studies are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree. In addition to the online application, please submit a curriculum vitae and contact details of three references to Dr. Italo Tempera, itempera@wistar.org.
