Opportunity

The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for a one-year, full-time, contractually-limited appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2021 subject to final budgetary approval. A specific focus of the position will be to further the development of MacEwan’s Behavioural Interventions Certificate of Achievement (BICA) program and to provide leadership in planning and implementing non-credit workshops and courses for the community with the School of Continuing Education.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), a proven track record in the implementation and supervision of ABA interventions (especially with respect to ASD), evidence of effective teaching of courses in both basic and applied behaviour analysis at the undergraduate level, and a history of scholarly work in the field. Graduation from an accredited institution with a graduate degree in psychology or related discipline is required (PhD preferred), as is certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst Doctoral (BCBA-D). Preferred candidates will also have experience in the development and management of ABA training programs and in the supervision of ABA-related student field placements and research projects.
