Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Audiology
School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Faculty of Medicine

The School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ÉOA) at the Université de Montréal is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track) in the field of Audiology, with a particular focus on one of the following three priority areas: pediatric audiology; audiological rehabilitation for individuals with hearing disorders; or computational audiology. As a professor, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the promotion of excellence in the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology within the Faculty of Medicine through your teaching and research activities.

 In this role, you will:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate students;
  • Supervise research work of graduate students;
  • Develop and conduct research programs in your specialized area of audiology;
  • Engage in scholarly activities to contribute to the scientific community;
  • Participate actively in the academic and administrative functions of the School.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. in audiology or a related field;
  • Postdoctoral studies or relevant work experience in an academic setting;
  • A track record of excellent research productivity and teaching experience;
  • An adequate knowledge of written and spoken French or a strong commitment to mastering the required level of French proficiency, in accordance with Université de Montréal’s Language Policy. An institutional learning support program is offered to all professors wishing to learn French or improve their communication skills.

Candidates who are eligible for admission to the Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Quebec (OOAQ) are preferred.
