In Response to Growing Skills Shortage and Threat of Ransomware Attacks in Schools, IBM Announces Global RFP to Help Public Schools and K-12 Educational Institutions Combat Cyberattacks and to develop the skills of their professors and students in AI and cybersecurity. medjouel.com informs you that IBM will provide $5 million in kind to help improve cybersecurity resilience in schools and institutions around the world, while providing schools with enhanced training on AI and cybersecurity via IBM SkillsBuild. 350,000 students worldwide have already benefited from these security scholarships.
Included in the grant
IBM Education Security Preparedness Grants will be awarded to schools around the world and distributed by volunteers through IBM Service Corps to help schools build cybersecurity resilience programs. Each selected school will receive:
Incident response plans and ransomware manuals
Programs to meet the need for updating operating systems
Strategic communication plans to use in response to cyber incidents
IBM SkillsBuild training and digital credentials on topics like AI and cybersecurity
Other benefits such as greater access to IBM mentors , teacher training and toolkits, and personalized learning paths
