The School of Engineering at the University of Guelph invites applications for a teaching-focused tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Mechanical Engineering.   We are particularly interested in applicants who have a strong teaching record in core mechanical, manufacturing and production engineering courses, the applicant is expected to teach and develop graduate and undergraduate courses related to machining, surface technology, manufacturing processes, advanced manufacturing modeling and simulation, and supply chains. While this position is teaching focused, it is expected that the applicant should also have an acceptable record of fundamental and industrial collaborative research components to enrich students learning experience and to be able to support Master of Engineering student projects.

The candidate must hold an undergraduate university degree in mechanical engineering and an earned PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. University-level teaching experience (beyond a teaching assistant) is preferred.   Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario is a requirement of this position at the time of hiring.

The School of Engineering (SOE) at the University of Guelph has accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Water Resources Engineering.
