The Faculty of Business Administration is committed to excellence and relevance in its teaching, research and community engagement. Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Supply Chain Management and Operations at the rank of assistant professor with a proposed commencement date of July 1, 2024. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants should have or be very near completion of a PhD or DBA, have demonstrated research productivity commensurate with the rank, and a commitment to teaching and research in a university environment. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research in the broader area of supply chain management (including potential topics such as logistics, buyer-supplier relationships, procurement and purchasing, and supplier development) as well as operations research. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in supply chain and operations and an interest in multidisciplinary and impactful research. An interest for innovative course delivery, experiential learning, and relevant practitioner experience would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in the Cenovus Centre of Excellence in Sales and Supply Chain Management, to build upon existing institutional research strengths, to contribute to the strong relationship between the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculties of Science and of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University.

If the successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate, they shall be appointed to a regular term, non-renewable three-year appointment at the rank of assistant professor. If the candidate completes all the requirements for the doctorate during the first 24 months of the term appointment, they shall begin a tenure-track appointment following completion of the requirements of the degree.

The Faculty of Business Administration is a leader in management education and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Approximately 2,100 students are registered in the undergraduate programs of the Faculty, with another 200 students completing graduate programs, including a PhD, an MBA, an MBA in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, and an MSc in Management.
