Postdoctoral Research Associate – Neurology – University of Washington, United States

This position involves independent research on the role of circadian clock genes and circadian rhythms in brain health and neurodegenerative diseases. The work primary involves mouse and cellular models, and experience with transgenic mouse lines is preferred. Experiments will involve behavioral and pathological phenotyping of novel mouse models, so experience with mouse phenotyping, mouse behavioral assays, and immunohistochemistry is also ideal. The applicant should have doctoral training in neuroscience or a related field, a strong publication record, strong independent organizational skills, and ability to participate in grant writing and manuscript preparation.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
