2 postdoc positions in the field of organs cross-talk and metabolic disorders – European Diabetes Study Center (CeeD), Strasbourg France

The European Diabetes Study Center (CeeD) is located in Strasbourg, (FRANCE) and is recognized as a certified research center by the Minister of Higher Education and Research, and accredited by the Strasbourg University. The center is composed of people specialized in diabetes and associated pathologies with complementary areas of expertise and competences. The laboratory performs research in several areas of sciences including cellular, molecular biology, proteomics and in vivo experiments and benefits worldwide scientific network for potential collaborations in these fields.

The postdoctoral project and Eligibility requirements

The aim of the project is to investigate the role of skeletal muscle secretome on insulin sensitive tissues such as pancreatic islets, hepatocytes, adipose tissue,… and the skeletal muscle itself. Research performed aimed to better understand the inter-organs communications in the development of metabolic disorders related to diabetes and to develop innovative therapeutics tools to treat diabetic patients.

The center is looking for two highly motivated Postdoc who must meet the following eligibility requirements by the application deadline:

–         awarded a PhD degree

–         possess skills in experimental procedures: primary cell culture, gene and protein quantifications, analytical and statistical methods for evaluating results.

–         Be able to work on animal models

–         show some skills in English reading/writing and communication

–         be able to work in collaborative and communicative team

–         write reports, papers and applications
