The Institute of Theoretical Physics invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (m/f/d) – Quantum dynamics and attosecond physics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 75 %) starting on the next possible date. The position is limited to 3 years.
Responsibilities
The position implies the opportunity for a PhD thesis in theoretical physics. Responsibilities include research in quantum dynamics and attosecond physics. This involves modelling and numerical simulations of light-matter interaction in atoms, molecules and solids. Furthermore, the position involves moderate teaching duties in the theoretical-physics course programme.

Conditions of appointment
To qualify for the position, applicants should hold a scientific university degree (Master) in physics or a related field. In addition, experience in quantum dynamics and skills in scientific programming are desirable.
