The Fraunhofer Center IMW in Leipzig is an institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft with economic, social and political science expertise. The institute carries out application-oriented research in the areas of internationalization, knowledge transfer, intellectual property and sustainable development. Based on its international and interdisciplinary expertise, Fraunhofer IMW develops solutions for customers from the public and private sector, especially for small and medium-sized companies.
The professionalization of knowledge transfer processes group develops future knowledge in an interdisciplinary team for the use of new technologies and services in the modern knowledge society. To do this, we examine the innovation process, industries and actors as well as the relevant market requirements. We also anticipate developments in the social, economic, political and technical environment. We test new participative formats of knowledge and technology transfer and organize cross-disciplinary cooperation processes between researchers and practitioners.
Your tasks
You work in two collaborative projects with the following focus:
- Digital transformation of agriculture (including analysis of the macro environment; development of target images; control of internal and external knowledge transfer)
- Digital transformation of work (including target image development; further development of transdisciplinary research and development methods; methods of knowledge integration)
They examine relevant developments in the macro environment (PEST factors), participate in the creation of visionary target images and develop evidence-based orientation and action knowledge in an interdisciplinary team.
What you bring with you
- Degree in economics / social sciences (also doctorate), especially with a focus on Science and Technology Studies (STS)
- Experience in the management and implementation of relevant empirical research projects
- Experience in theoretical reasoning and system analysis
- Experience in obtaining third-party funds
- Knowledge of participatory methods of empirical social research (including workshop formats, design thinking) and future research
- Experience in moderation is desirable
- Interest in interdisciplinary questions or research in interdisciplinary teams
- Openness to questions in the areas of innovation as well as knowledge and technology transfer
