AUE Scholarships for Academic Year 2017/2018

For the coming academic year 17/2018 starting September 2017 AUE has 40 scholarships waiting for students!

Required documents for Undergraduate applicants
  1. High School Diploma attested by the concerned authorities with minimum final average of above 90% (or its equivalent).
  2. Recommendation letter from school (Not older than 3 months)
  3. English proficiency Certificate with the below score:
    • ILETS: 5.5
    • TOFL PBT: 527
    • TOEFL IBT: 70
    • EmSAT English 1250
  4. Motivation letter that clearly states the intended College/ Program/ Major.
  5. Certificate of good conduct from both previous school and police.
  6. Four passport size photographs
Required documents for Graduate applicants
  1. Bachelor Degree Certificate from an accredited university by the UAE Ministry of Education, with minimum CGPA of 3.6 out of 4.0, or its equivalent.
  2. Recommendation letter from two faculty members at the previous university.
  3. English proficiency Certificate with the below score:
    • ILETS: 6.5
    • TOFL PBT: 577
    • TOEFL IBT: 90
    • EmSAT English 1550
  4. Motivation letter that clearly states the intended College/ Program/ Major.
  5. Certificate of good conduct from police.
  6. Four passport size photographs

General Terms and conditions

  • The scholarship will be offered upon meeting the admission and scholarship requirements.
  • Priority will be giving to applicants from United Arab Emirates.
  • Only freshmen students can apply for scholarship.
  • Applicants should have had completed their high school requirements on the academic years of 2015/2016 or 2016/2017 only.
  • Applications of transferred students will not be considered
  • The applicant should join the university within the same semester of receiving the scholarship
  • Only non-working students are eligible for the scholarship.
  • The scholarship is permanent and will be considered for the full program duration upon meeting the requirements during the program.
  • Applicant is not eligible of differed/postponed semester during his/her study.
  • If the applicant postpone/withdraw/transfer within colleges, s/he will no longer be eligible for the scholarship
  • Applicant can’t transfer from college to college or to another university.
  • The scholarship is valid for the applicant only and cannot be transferred to any other person
  • The scholarship is applicable to tuition fees only (courses) and NOT for any other fees.
  • The Scholarship will not include/cover any courses to be taken outside American University in the Emirates (AUE) (Inside and outside UAE)
  • Repeated courses will not be covered by the scholarship and do not include any discount (full payment should be made by the student)
  • An applicant will not be eligible for any other type of scholarship/discounts offered by the university (AUE).
  • Any fraudulent document submitted to the University (AUE) will automatically void and cancel the scholarship, and the applicant should pay back all the fees to AUE.
  • Student must follow a good code of conduct defined by AUE student handbook and in case of any valid misconduct filled against him/her, the scholarship will be considered void
  • The applicant should abide by the university rules/regulations mentioned in the University Policy and Procedure Manual, Student Handbook, University Catalogue.
  • The applications after filling in the allocated seats will be considered for AUE merit scholarships.
  • If student fail to abide by any of above terms and conditions may be dismissed from the semester or program and the full scholarship will be considered void.
  • The University reserves the decision on the final right to grant the scholarship.
  • If student choose to drop/withdraw from the university, or he/she did not abide by any of the scholarships terms and conditions, he/she should pay the scholarship amount.
