CBU invites applications for a full-time limited term position in the department of Biology in the School of Science & Technology to commence September 2020.

Reporting to the Dean, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing the duties outlined in Article 25.1.2 in the Cape Breton University Faculty Association Collective Agreement. Topics of focus shall include but may not be limited to first year Organismal & Evolutionary Biology labs, second year Human Anatomy labs, and second year Human Physiology for Nursing labs.
As the courses for the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic year will be delivered online, faculty members will be provided the opportunity to teach using appropriate and varied teaching methods from various locations [off campus and/or on campus]as part of their regular workload. While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach under these conditions will be considered an asset.
Candidates shall, as a minimum requirement, possess a B.Sc. in Biology. An M.Sc. in Biology is preferred. Applicants should have previous Lab Instructor experience at the post-secondary level as well as experience with online course delivery.
