School of Information Science & Engineering, University of Jinan (UJN), China, is seeking highly motivated MS students for three years of studies on a Scholarship (Chinese Government Scholarship, Shandong Government Scholarship, UJN President Scholarship and other). All studies are in ENGLISH, including ALL courses, supervision, papers, thesis and other such activities involved.

Prof. Chen leads the Lab of Cyber Intelligence (http://loci.ujn.edu.cn/index.html). He is a Ph.D. supervisor and master supervisor of University of Jinan, and was honored the outstanding master supervisor of University of Jinan in 2016. His research interests are in mobile computing, cyber security, big data and computation intelligence, currently focusing on mobile security and big data analysis in cyber space. His research has been extensively supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, and Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program, with total grant funding over one million CNY. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 60 peer reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings (including Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Information Sciences, Soft Computing, and IWQoS, etc.), and more than 20 patents in the areas of cyber security and data intelligence.

Dr. Jing Zhang was graduated from Harbin Engineering University, China. She is currently a Professor and Ph.D supervisor in the School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, China. She has published 12 SCI articles and nearly 100 EI articles, most of which are in English. Received 16 patents and host over more than 30 projects, the longitudinal projects include the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education’s Doctoral Guide Fund, the Provincial Natural Science Fund, the Provincial Study Abroad Fund and the Provincial Postdoctoral Fund. Horizontal projects cover a wide range of areas, such as virtual cities and virtual campus design. She has been a visiting scholar in University of Melbourne in Australia and University of York in the UK. She has supervised nearly 100 doctoral and master’s students, including 2 foreign doctoral students and 8 foreign master’s students. Professor Jing Zhang has rich teaching and research experience. Her main research interests are virtual reality, medical image processing and theoretical research and application of bioinformatics.

Xiuyang Zhao is currently a professor at School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from Shandong University, China, 2006, and worked as a postdoctor at the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Software Engineering, Shandong University, from 2008 to 2010. He serves as the committee member of China Computer Federation CAD&CG Specialized Committee. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in high-quality international journals and conference proceedings, such as Computer-Aided Design, Information Science, Neurocomputing, Applied Soft Computing, etc. His research interests include computer vision, computational intelligence, and virtual reality.

Lin Wang is currently a Full Professor at School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, China. He was also an Adjunct Associate Professor at David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, Canada. He serves as Secretary General of ACM Jinan Chapter, and Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Association for Artificial Intelligence. He was Program Chair or Program Committee Member of many international conferences, such as SPAC, SIGCSE China. He is the Winner of ACM Jinan Rising Star Award and has been granted by National Science Foundation of China and Shandong Provincial Excellent Young Scientists Foundation. He has published more than 70 peer reviewed papers in international journals and conferences.

Hengjian Li received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2004 and 2010, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at School of Information Science and Engineering University of Jinan, China. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in high-quality international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include image processing and pattern recognition, biometrics protection, and cloud security.

Sijie Niu received his Ph.D. degree in Patten Recognition & Intelligent System from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China in 2016. He is currently a Professor at University of Jinan. Dr. Niu was a visiting scholar at Medical Department, STANFORD UNIVERSITY, USA, in 2014. As the first author or co-author he has published more than 30 papers in international journals and conference proceedings, 1 book chapters, and 3 patents in the areas of Image Analysis. Dr. Niu’s research interests are in Pattern Recognition, Machine/deep Learning, Medical Image Processing, currently focusing on Retinal Image Segmentation and Analysis. His research has been extensively supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation with total grant funding over 500,000 RMB. Chuan Zhao received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shandong University, P.R. China, in 2016. He is currently an Associate Professor at School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, P.R. China, and also a postdoctoral researcher at Indiana University Bloomington, US. His research interests include information security, cryptography and privacy in machine learning. Dr. Zhao has published more than 20 papers on high-level journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, Information Sciences, IEEE Access, and Soft Computing, etc. His research has been extensively supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, Shandong Provincial Key Research and Development Project, and Shandong Province Higher Educational Science and Technology Program with total grant funding over 500,000 RMB.

Dongmei Niu received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Application Technology from Shandong University, P.R. China, in 2016. She is currently a Lecturer at School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, P.R. China. From 2012 to 2014, she studied in Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, U.S.A. as a joint-training Ph.D. student. She has published more than 20 papers on high-level journals and conferences such as Information Sciences, Neurocomputing, and The Visual Computer, etc. Her research interests include image processing, computer graphics, information visualization and CAGD (Computer Aided Geometric Design). She is a member of CCF and a committee member of China Graphics Society (Big Data).

Baozhu Li received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, P.R. China, in 2017. He is currently a Lecturer at School of Information Science and Engineering, University of Jinan, and also a postdoctoral researcher at Shandong University, P.R. China. He was a visiting scholar at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2014. His research interests include Internet of Vehicles and Edge Computing. Dr. Zhao has published more than 10 papers on high-level journals and conferences such as IEEE Access and ICC, etc. His research has been extensively supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China with total grant funding over 300,000 RMB. He is currently focusing on communication protocol design and performance evaluation, resource allocation and energy efficiency. Dr. Li is a member of IEEE.

About School of Information Science & Engineerin
The School of Information Science and Engineering now has 130 members of faculty and staff, 110 of whom are full-time teachers. 70% of the teachers have received their master’s or doctor’s degrees and nearly 30% of them are professors or associate professors. Some of the teachers enjoy special allowance granted by the State Council and some are titled as young academic backbones of Shandong province.
The school offers two postgraduate programs in Computer Science Technology and Signal and Signal System, 4 undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Communication Engineering and Network Engineering, and 3 three-year programs in Computer Application, Network Engineering and Computer Science Technology. Apart from being responsible for teaching work, the school also undertakes computer basic teaching work of the university. The school is composed of Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Electronic Information Science and Technology, Department of Computer Engineering, Public Teaching Center, Network Center, nine teaching research centers and three experimental teaching centers and with three research centers attached to the school. Currently the school’s enrollment of postgraduates, undergraduates and three-year students, covers more than 20 provinces of the country, and the school now has about 3000 undergraduates and 50 postgraduates.
The school has a lab building of 17,000 square meters. It also has a provincial teaching reform major of Computer Science and Technology, Shandong basic computer experimental demonstration center, Shandong home-manufactured database engineering and technology research center. It has built a provincial key lab for information and control engineering in cooperation with the School of Control Science and Engineering. The school is now in possession of advanced equipment such as computer networks, robots, programmable controller, graphics and image processing system and network switches of internationally well-known brands (CISCO, 3COM, Nortel, SUN, HP, etc.), routers, servers and protocol analyzers and many others. The ATM/1,000,000,000,000,000 Ethernets mixing network environment and the high performance paralleling computer system dawn 3,000 have already been put into the use. The campus net hub, as one of the 4 internet centers among Jinan universities, has the multi-strip optic cable line to join with other universities and allows for convenient interconnection with the public networks such as the telecommunication, radio broadcasting and Bailing network, perfecting a network experimental environment. The school of Information Science and Engineering has three large-scaled computer networks in the Information Building, Automation Building and the Experimental Building of the School of Information. It owns nearly 1500 kinds of machines such as multi-user small machine, servers and microcomputers. The experimental conditions of the school have reached an advanced level compared with other universities of the same class in the country.
Having formed its targeted fields ranging from research of computer networks, database and information systems, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System to graphics and image processing, it has actively conducted reform of teaching and research in education by means of information. Over the past five years, the school has undertaken more than 20 research projects of “868” programs and of those financed by the National Natural Science Foundation and by Shandong Province, with total funds of 18 million RMB, 10 of which have won Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shandong province and Awards for Excellent Teaching Results of Shandong Province, and more than 400 papers have been published by the domestic well-known academic publications such as “the Chinese Science”, “Automated Journal”, “Electronic Journal”, “Computer Journal”, “Computer Research and development”, “Small Microcomputer System”. It has also had publications by the famous international academic conferences and periodicals such as IEEE, IFAC, IFIP, ACM and so on, among which 40 have been indexed and collected by EI, SCI and ISTP.
