The research group ORSTAT of KU Leuven (Belgium) has a vacancy for a full-time PhD scholarship in Statistics.
Project
The PhD candidate will work on statistical topics related to the design and/or analysis of discrete choice experiments.
You will find a very dynamic and pleasant working environment, in a group that conducts research at the highest international level.
Profile
Candidates should have a very strong interest in statistics, econometrics, or mathematics and preferably have a background as Master of Science in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Economics, Business Engineering, Economics, Civil Engineering or Computer Science.
An average degree of ‘distinction’ during preliminary studies (bachelor and master) is required, aswell as an appropriate knowledge of written and spoken English.
Experience with at least one programming language (such as R) is an asset. Also students that are currently in the final year of their Master studies can apply.
Offer
We offer an employment as full-time doctoral scholar for 1 year, starting in September 2022, renewableuntil max. 4 years after a positive evaluation.
