UWE Bristol offers a range of scholarships for international postgraduate students.
Please note: In order to apply for any UWE Bristol scholarships, you must have received an offer to study at UWE Bristol. Remember to apply for the course early to ensure your scholarship application can be considered.

Non-programme specific scholarships
Chancellor’s Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.
Following graduation, recipients will also be expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

How to apply
The application deadline for the September 2019 scholarship is Sunday 28 April 2019. Applicants who have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree will be invited to apply via their UWE Welcome portal by completing the scholarship task.
If you are successful, you will be notified via email by Friday 31 May 2019.
If you accept the scholarship, you will need to pay your £3,000 deposit to UWE Bristol within a week of receiving your scholarship offer letter. You will also have to prove that you satisfy the UKVI criteria in terms of being able to cover living costs and the remainder of the fees.

Millennium Scholarship

How to apply
Applications for the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences MSc scholarships can be made online by selecting the ‘Apply for this course’ option on the web page for the selected MSc programme.
To be considered for the Scholarship, applicants will need to cover the following points in their personal statement which should accompany the programme application:
- What potential you have for outstanding performance on the programme – please note that this will be assessed both through evidence of your academic record to date and the quality of your written application.
- What potential you have to become an outstanding professional in your selected subject area, and how your work experience to date points to exceptional achievements in relation to interests outside formal education.
- How you show potential for being an effective ambassador for UWE Bristol when you return to your home country. You should show a grasp of British universities’ agenda overseas and of successful ways of influencing potential audiences.
- How you show concern for other students on your programme, evidencing contribution of a kind that is likely to enrich their experiences and not just your own.
Students who have deferred their application from academic year 2017/2018 to 2018/2019 will need to write another personal statement if they would like to be considered for the Scholarship and upload it via their UWE welcome portal.
They should clearly write and save the document as “Personal Statement for the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences MSc (International) Scholarship” before uploading via their welcome portal.
The submission deadline is 28 April 2019. Your application will be assessed by a Faculty panel that includes the programme leader, and candidates will be informed of the final decision by 31 May 2019.

Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences Dean’s Scholarship
This scholarship is available to an applicant from a country that has recently been subject to a significant adverse environmental, health or security impact, where its alleviation relates to the subject area of the selected MSc programme.
Following graduation, recipients will be expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.
