The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Brandeis University invites applications in the field of trans or non-binary gender studies for its two-year Allen-Berenson Postdoctoral Fellowship. The discipline is open; we are especially interested in scholars who bring an intersectional approach to their intellectual work. The successful candidate will teach one course each semester and participate in the scholarly life of the faculty. We expect that the Fellow will teach an undergraduate introductory course in sexuality and queer studies in addition to courses in their area of expertise. In the second year the Fellow will give a public lecture. Candidates are expected to have completed their Ph.D. and start their fellowship by August 2019. Please submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, a sample of your scholarly work as it relates to trans or non-binary gender studies, and three letters of recommendation to https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/11503. To be considered, applications must be submitted by December 15, 2018. Questions can be directed to: Shannon Kearns, Program Administrator, Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies Program (skearns@brandeis.edu). Brandeis recognizes that diversity in its student body, staff and faculty is important to its primary mission of providing a quality education. The search committee is therefore particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching and/or service experiences, will increase Brandeis’ reputation for academic excellence and better prepare its students for a pluralistic society. Brandeis University is an affirmative action equal opportunity employer committed to academic excellence and building a broad intellectual community through diversity, equity and inclusion. We value and are seeking candidates with a variety of social identities, including those that have been underrepresented in higher education. |
