Umeå University offers scholarships each year, in conjunction with the Autumn term admission, to academically talented and high-achieving students. Scholarships offered are in the form of tuition-waivers. Selected candidates receive a full or partial waiver of the tuition fee.
Scholarship Eligibility
We welcome you to apply for scholarship if you:
- are a citizen of a country outside of EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- have completed your application for programme studies at master’s level (before the application deadline of 15 January 2020) and have paid the application fee 3 February latest.
- have Umeå University programme as priority 1 at universityadmissions.se.
The selections are based entirely on the applicant’s academic merit. A committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor is tasked with selecting candidates for scholarships.
Application
When the application form opens, eligible students will receive an e-mail with application instructions. Only applicants with a Umeå University programme as priority 1 or second year master students at Umeå University (i.e. students who are currently in their first master year) are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
If you are an eligible student and have not received an e-mail by the opening date of the application form, please let us know.
Current Student at Umeå University
If you are currently studying at Umeå University, and will continue your studies through 2020–2021 academic year, you are also welcome to apply.
