The Harding Postgraduate Scholarship Program aims to support exceptional doctoral students in all disciplines. At least 25 doctoral students will receive a prestigious Harding Distinguished postgraduate scholarship each year, creating a cohort of the strongest doctoral students of a given year in a wide range of fields.
A significant proportion of Harding’s graduate scholarships (25 to 33% each year) will be at St Catharine College . The larger group at St Catharine College reflects David Harding’s previous association with the College. However, the rest will be distributed to ensure excellent postgraduate students across the entire Collegiate University.
What we offer
A Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholarship covers the following costs for doctoral students:
- university composition fees at the appropriate rate for the duration of your course
- a maintenance allowance (living expenses) of £ 18,000 per year for the duration of three years of your research, with the possibility of receiving maintenance funding in a fourth year, if necessary
- a research allowance (for expenses related to research activities and consumables, for example, books, field work and participation in conferences) of a maximum of £ 6,000 for the duration of three years of your research.
