For awarding purposes, we will estimate your enrollment at 16 credit hours per semester until the end of the add/drop period each semester. At that point, we will adjust your Bright Futures award based on your actual enrollment. For example, if you are enrolled in 18 hours at the end of the add/drop period, your Bright Futures award will be increased. Conversely, if you are enrolled in 12 hours at the end of the add/drop period, your Bright Futures award will be decreased.

In addition, we are required to return any Bright Futures awards for credits dropped or not successfully completed. At the end of the add/drop period, your Bright Futures award will be set and any changes from that point on will result in either a reduction of your award (if you drop credits) or an increase (if you add credits). This will impact your student account and any balance created will be due immediately.
