UNSW offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to support international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students commencing full-time study at UNSW. Some scholarships will provide a full or partial tuition fee payment, while others provide a stipend to assist with the costs associated with your studies. Students wishing to undertake postgraduate research study should contact the Graduate Research School.

By submitting an application for the UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 2, 2023 (PUCA1029) you may be considered for the scholarships listed in the below table. More scholarships may be progressively added to this list.
To apply for PUCA1029, please register an account in the Scholarship Application Online portal, or if you have already created an account, log in and submit your application. You can also access the Scholarship Application Online portal using the Register and Login buttons on the right side of this page.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Must have received an offer of admission* into an eligible program for Term 2 2023 by 31 March 2023.
*Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Conditional English Package Offer (UEEC) – students must be enrolled in the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program prior to commencing in Term 2 2023.
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:
- Academic merit
- Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
- Reasons for undertaking studies at UNSW
You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.
Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted.
Eligible students who have received an offer of admission to UNSW will be automatically considered for the scholarships and awards listed in the table below. You do not need to submit any specific scholarship application or additional supporting documentation to be considered.
The scholarships and awards listed below will be automatically offered to eligible students on the basis of academic merits highlighted in the application for admission to UNSW.

Selection
Eligible students will be assessed on the basis of:

International Student Award
The International Student Award is available to eligible new students commencing in 2023 and provides a 15% contribution towards tuition fees for the duration of program.
Students will be automatically considered for this Award when applying for admission to UNSW, and if eligible, will be invited to submit a brief statement about their motivation to study at UNSW.

UNSW reserves the right not to award a scholarship where there is no applicant of sufficient merit, or if the applicant does not meet the scholarship eligibility and/or selection criteria.
